I am a freelance writer and award-winning blogger, covering all aspects of parenting in a style that has been described as ‘funny, touching and real’ (herefordmums.co.uk).
I have written regularly for BabyCentre - the UK's number one pregnancy and parenting website, and also parenting websites such as Parentdish where I had a column called The Primary Days.
I have written features, articles, and posts for a range of online and print magazines including: The Guardian, Gurgle magazine, Herefordshire and Wye Valley Life magazine, and Ready for Ten.
I began writing this blog in May 2007; as a way to document my personal experiences of the steepest learning curve of my life – that of becoming a mum. The joys, the challenges, the angst, the surreal and the sublime.
My blog has been featured in the Daily Telegraph and received the 2011 ‘Mothercare Loves…’ Gurgle blog award. I was also a finalist in two categories for the prestigious MAD (Mum and Dad) national blog awards in 2011, and I am ranked at number 13 in the Cision parenting blog index in 2012.
