I had a dream...

We were driving along yesterday when Betty said: 'Mummy do you know that funny holiday cottage that has a grey roof?' 'No' I said 'Our holiday cottage has a red roof'.

She then went on to say...

'Last night I was in a cottage with a grey roof. I had two crocodiles on my fingers, and I was in a big bed with you and Daddy and Dolly, and I had a glass of water. There was a lift in the cottage, and in the lift was a climbing frame.'

'Wow', I said, 'it sounds like you had a dream last night' (desperately trying to work out how to explain the whole dream concept to a three year old). 'Yes Mummy,' she said matter of factly, 'I had a dream'.

I love hearing about the dreams of little ones. My little sweetpea informed me that she'd had a dream recently, apparently it involved all the people from Balamory, and I was there talking to Miss Hooley. Probably suggesting decent footwear and a new hair do, but sadly I wasn't told of the details!

It's so nice to have a little slice of what goes on in their minds at night. :o)

I don't think my bubbas have ever told me about their dreams, I don't think they remember them. I ask often!! x

The first thing Littleboy 2 told me this morning was that he'd found a blue ball in the garden that "BELONGED TO ME". Since he doesn't own a blue ball that I can recall, I can only assume it must be a dream...

Littleboy 1 has told me before that he heard a witch jumping on the trampoline in the night. I hope this WAS a dream and that we haven't been invaded by midnight trampline jumpers....

hi all, normally listening to other peoples dreams is very very boring, but when it's your own children, it is utterly fascinating!
